CUDAHY CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING and
CITY OF CUDAHY AS SUCCESSOR AGENCY and
HOUSING SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE CUDAHY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION JOINT MEETING
January 13, 2026 6:30 P.M.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor / Chair Gonzalez called the meeting to order at 6:39 p.m.

5. BUSINESS SESSION
A.Consideration to Clarify the Scope/Purpose, Set an End Date, and Change the Appointed Members for the Sidewalk Vendor Ad Hoc Committee Presented by the Interim City Manager/City Clerk
Recommendation: The City Council is requested to consider clarifying the scope/purpose, set an end date, and change the appointed members for the Sidewalk Vendor Ad Hoc Committee.
Motion Council Member Alcantar Loza motioned to continue the committee with the scope to finalize a proposal for the Council to consider for a municipal code update on street vending, with bimonthly updates to the Council, with an end date of June 30, 2026, seconded by Council Member Gomez. Motion passed 5-0 by the following roll call vote:

B.Annual Council Member Appointments to Serve on Regional Boards Presented by the Interim City Manager/City Clerk
Recommendation: The City Council is requested to consider appointing a delegate and an alternate member to the various boards and committees.
Motion: Council Member Alcantar Loza motioned to keep the current appointments as is, with a minor change to the City Selection Committee appointee’s title being Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez, seconded by Vice Mayor Lomelí. Motion passed 5-0 by the following roll call vote:

7. CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT
City Attorney Stephanie Arechiga announced that the City Council went into closed session under two items: closed session item 6A, all five Council Members were present, direction was given, no further reportable action; second closed session item 6B, Council Member Fuentes was not present, direction was given, and no further reportable action.

The City Council / Agency meeting adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
