Dear Sir:
I would like to take this opportunity to justify Siemens Industry as the sole-source maintenance provider of your fire alarm systems. We are the factory-direct office which currently provides the NFPA 72 state-mandated annual inspections and any required service support to ensure continual operation of your important life safety platforms.
The fire alarm systems installed in the Project Site listed above have characteristics and operational limitations unique toa single manufacturer.
Due to the critical life safety operations, equipment listing compatibility and business continuance application issues, only the designated manufacturer is acceptable. Also the fire alarm systems installed in your facilities are microprocessor-based. Access to the operating software and equipment firmware is restricted by UL requirements to the current service provider. This is common through the industry with fire, security, building automation, and most building management electronic systems. It is done to protect the building owner, as well as the vendor, from liabilities that may arise from improper maintenance, repair, or programming changes to the system.
It is with the best interest of the facility in mind that we recommend sole-source justification be granted for Siemens Industry’s factory-direct LA ( Cypress) office to maintain your life safety systems. This will provide maximum performance, cybersecurity compliance, programming configuration standardization and maintain the warranty on any pre-existing work. Only Siemens factory certified technicians, are authorized to modify, repair, program, or provide software updates and firmware upgrades.
