CITY OF CULVER CITY

August 14, 2023
Mr. Thomas Check, PE, TE
Senior Traffic Engineer
City of Culver City
City Hall, 2nd Floor 9770
Culver City, CA 90232

Subject: 2023 Engineering and Traffic Survey

Dear Mr. Check:

As requested, Willdan has completed an Engineering and Traffic (E&T) Survey to justify and update the posted speed limits along 62 street segments in the City of Culver City. These segments were last surveyed in 2013.

We are pleased to submit the enclosed segment sheets along with their corresponding data that contains recommendations for posted speed limits on the City’s arterial and collector street system.

The E&T survey was conducted in accordance with applicable provisions of the CVC, following procedures outlined in the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices Revision 7 (California MUTCD) dated March 2023, and as required by Section 627 of the CVC. The E&T is intended to satisfy the requirements of Section 40802 of the CVC to enable the continued use of radar for traffic speed enforcement.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve the City of Culver City and the assistance and cooperation afforded to us during the course of this study.

Very truly yours,

WILLDAN

Nicolle Spann, P.E., T.E.
