RESOLUTION NO 2000-R 101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY
FOR THE NONPAYMENT OF BUSINESS TAX
WHEREAS, Section 11 01 205 (former §19-22) of the Culver City Municipal Code provides that the penalty for nonpayment of business tax shall be established by resolution of the City Council
NOW THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Culver City DOES HEREBY RESOLVE as follows
1 Pursuant to and in accordance with Section 11 01 205 (former §19- 22) for failure to pay business tax or fee when due, the Tax Collector shall add a penalty of twenty percent (20%) of the business tax or fee on the first calendar day of the second month following the due date of the business tax or fee and on the first of each month thereafter The penalty shall accrue each month the business tax or fee remains unpaid, provided, however, the amount of the penalty shall, in no event exceed the amount of the business tax or fee due
