RESOLUTION NO. 2024-R ___
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA , AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH L OS ANGELES
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FOR THE
TRANSFER OF SAFE CLEAN WATER PROGRAM FUNDS.
WHEREAS, in November 2018, Los Angeles County voters approved Measure W, the Los Angeles Region Safe, Clean Water (SCW) Program to improve water quality, increase local water supply, and enhance communities; and WHEREAS, forty percent ( 40%) of the SCW Program funding is allocated to cities to maximize the ability of local governments to address local Stormwater and Urban Runoff challenges and opportunities , through p rojects and programs that include a water quality benefit; and
WHEREAS, approximately $ 520,000 in SCW Program fun ds will be transferred to the City annually from FY 24/25 through FY 2 7/28, which will assist the City with design, construction, operations and maintenance of several stormwater proje cts, including, but not limited to : Culver Boulevard Stormwater Filtratio n Project , Washington Boulevard Stormwater Project, and Mesmer Stormwater Diversion Project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 16.05.A.1 of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District Code, prior to City ’s receipt of SCW Program funds, the City must enter into an agreement with the Los Ange les County Flood Control District to transfer the SCW Program funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Cul ver City, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby authorizes execution of a transfer agreement with the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD), pur suant to Section

2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to take any necessary actions in relation to execution, subm ission, amendment and implementation of the Transfer Agreement.
