2 LETTERS OF SUPPORT
Dear Culver City Council Members,
I am Andrew Hartwell, Head of Communications at the Wende Museum, writing to express my support for the introduction of digital informational kiosks in Culver City.

In an age where every pixel tells a story, these kiosks will help shine a spotlight on cultural institutions such as the Wende Museum’s forthcoming Glorya Kaufman Creative Community Center, to the benefit of the many artists and organizations who will present works in that space.

IKE Smart City have been engaged with the community leading up to the development of an RFP and are generously committed to platforming community causes. I believe that their initiative will not only stimulate our local economy but also provide a valuable avenue for promoting our city's rich cultural offerings. I wholeheartedly endorse this digital tourism kiosk program and encourage the City Council to support its implementation.

To Whom It May Concern:

On behalf of the Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF), I would like to share our enthusiastic support for the future use of digital kiosks in our community.

In August 2023, CCEF’s staff had a positive experience working with the team at IKE Smart City and Orange Barrel Media to showcase artwork from Culver City Unified School District’s talented student artists during their demonstration in Downtown Culver City. The students who participated were proud to see their pieces displayed in such a creative way, and we appreciate that each artist was properly credited for their work.

We would be interested to work with IKE Smart City again to promote the programs that CCEF funds, spreading great awareness for our mission to enhance the educational experience for every student in the Culver City Unified School District.

Sincerely,

Re: Culver City Tourism Kiosks, IKE Smart City
Dear Honorable City Council Members,
I write this letter on behalf of the Culver City Arts District (CCAD) Board, to express CCAD’s enthusiastic support for the deployment of digital tourism kiosks throughout Culver City and the Culver City Arts District. We believe that the implementation of these kiosks will significantly enhance wayfinding and access to information in our city. Specifically, we think that IKE Smart City would be an excellent organization to partner with for this initiative.

As dedicated stewards of the Culver City Arts District, we understand the crucial need for innovative solutions to engage visitors and residents alike. IKE’s wayfinding system will greatly enhance the experience for both tourists and residents, offering directories for dining, retail, public restrooms, events, museums, and cultural institutions. These kiosks can direct people to art galleries that are often hard to see from the street or showcase local art on the interactive screens.

Furthermore, IKE Smart City communicated their intent to work directly with City stakeholders, including BIDs, Neighborhood Councils, and community-based organizations, to improve the platform to meet local needs and to identify the best sites for interactive kiosks.

For these reasons, the Culver City Arts District writes to express our support for the Culver City Tourism Kiosk program. We would like to see these kiosks implemented as soon as possible to ensure they begin serving our communities and small businesses immediately. Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

Sincerely,
Jamison Hayward

Re: Digital Wayfinding Kiosks

To the Honorable Mayor and City Council,

As the owner of the Akasha Restaurant, I am writing to express my support for an interactive kiosk program in the City of Culver City, and specifically in the Downtown area.

It has been exciting to see Downtown Culver City transform into a vibrant dining destination over the years. Our city offers a diverse and dynamic culinary scene with a wide range of experiences that cater to various tastes and preferences. I have witnessed firsthand Culver City thrive as a commercial and entertainment destination. Nevertheless, the pandemic hit our Downtown business corridor hard, and we all look hopefully toward a full recovery.

To build upon decades of momentum in Culver City’s revitalization and fully realize our city’s true potential, we need to modernize our neighborhood and increase its accessibility.

This is especially important as we look towards major international events coming to the region, including the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028. Culver City sits on the metro line connecting much of Los Angeles to the major event venues, and we will see an influx of millions of international visitors. Having a system of interactive digital kiosks available for wayfinding, promotion of local businesses and organizations, as well as the added security features, will provide critical benefits to residents and tourists alike. We already see how other metropolitan cities across the country utilize digital kiosks, and it' s time we follow suit.

I support implementing a digital kiosk program and look forward to seeing it come to fruition in Culver City soon.

Sincerely,

Alan Schulman

Councilmembers of Culver City
Culver City City Hall
9770 Culver Blvd
Culver City, CA 90232

Esteemed Members of the City Council,

I am writing to you as an engaged resident of Culver City to express my support for a digital tourism kiosk program in Culver City. As I am a PRCS Commissioner, I make note that I am writing this as a private citizen and not a commissioner, as we have not discussed this matter. However, there is no doubt that my work on this commission, and other similar public engagement over the years, including as a former elected City Treasurer, certainly plays a part in informing my thoughts on the matter.

I have lived in Culver City for 38 years, and seen it evolve. It has been exciting to watch our city transform into a vibrant dining destination, a hub for fine art, and a home to many esteemed businesses and institutions. We are truly “on the map” of cities on the westside of LA County.

To build upon decades of momentum in Culver City’s revitalization and fully realize our city’s true potential, we need to modernize our messaging and increase its accessibility.

This is especially important as we look towards major international events coming to the region, including the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028. Culver City sits on the metro line connecting much of Los Angeles to the major event venues, and we will see an influx of millions of international visitors. Sitting on the city’s LA 2028 Olympics Committee, I can attest that much of our brainstorming has focused on how we can showcase Culver City, and the use of digital kiosks as a tool would certainly enhance these efforts.

Having a system of interactive digital kiosks available for wayfinding, promotion of local businesses and organizations, as well as the added safety and security features, will provide critical benefits to residents and tourists alike. We already see how other cities across the country utilize digital kiosks, and it's time we follow suit. In my personal travels across the USA and abroad, I have seen firsthand how these kiosks fit into the urban landscape. As a member of the City’s CERT effort, and as a member of the Police Chief’s Advisory Panel, I have been especially intrigued with the public safety aspects of using digital kiosks, particularly for our visitors who may not know where to turn for immediate help and information.

As a modern City, we need a new way of engaging with our community and its visitors. For these reasons, I enthusiastically support a RFP for digital kiosk technology, and furthermore IKE Smart City’s bid as the premier vendor. I look forward to seeing the program come to fruition in Culver City soon.

Best regards,

Crystal C. Alexander

Re: Kiosks
Dear City Council,
Personally, I find wayfinding kiosks very helpful when I am travelling to a new place. I have a lot of information readily available from restaurants to gyms to much needed ice cream. I am somewhat confused and, in some cases, alarmed by the conspiracy theories shared in the local media and at the last council meeting on this issue.

Educate yourself before you start going down a dark rabbit hole.

The kiosks would only have a camera if the city asked for a selfie app. The image transfers to a phone, and that’s it.

There is no searching and cataloging of personal information which might be sent to law enforcement both local and national. Kiosks aren’t pinging phones and gathering emails and contacts, or health records. If this is really a concern, then don’t ask for the selfie app and there won’t be a camera.

The wayfinder kiosks make it easier to go to the info screen and find out how to get somewhere that Google or Waze is confused about in the city. There are so many wonderful businesses and services; I would appreciate the ability to search for them.

As to the oft repeated, “you have a smart so use it instead” argument. Our much loved and despised cell phones are not a replacement for a sign the gives easy access to information about local events (Next summer concert?), or locations of the local athletic shoe shops. Also, unless we can all afford the larger screen cell phones, you are disenfranchising and excluding those of us whose eyesight ain’t what it used to be. If my cell battery is dead, should I tackle someone and take their phone? Of course, I would ask politely, but I am very reluctant to hand my phone to a stranger. You are also excluding folks who have physical disabilities or issues like tremors, The “use your phone” argument is ableist. Using a phone takes two hands, tell a harried parent carrying a baby they will have to put the kid down or juggle them, usually dropping the phone in the interim. What about the folks who come to Culver City whose own phones won’t work, to those of us with limited internet access, or a crappy cell phone contract and provider? They might as well pick up a rock and ask it where the new Japanese restaurant is.

The discussion will be about reviewing an RFP . The IKE company wants to make money, okay. However, the City would have some static income from our share of the ad revenue. The restrictions and restraints, such as self- dimming after 11 pm or angling it to catch bicyclists or drivers eyes, these rules are within the control of the City. I hope we have a good contract writer, which I suspect we do among our hard-working staff.

We aren’t inviting a 20 foot by 40 foot billboard to tower over our streets. The kiosks can be incredibly useful, and let’s face it, we need the revenue. Our actual small business revenue is down and long-loved restaurants and stores are closing. There is a looming deficit that needs addressing.

We need to think ahead to the World Cup, Super Bowl, and Olympics; how many new people will come wandering into Culver City for a great meal or that delicious gelato and ice cream? And where is that darned Metro stop? I am in favor of accepting the IKE RFP (apparently the only one received). Accept it, then let’s seriously start the conversation about how the kiosks can add to our quality of life, bring in income, and let people know how to get around.

I am interested to hear the conversation and understand why people have non-conspiracy reasons for opposing it.

Sincerely,
Jamie Wallace
30 year Culver City resident

14 THE ORIGINS OF IKE SMART CITY
IKE Smart City was formed by Orange Barrel Media (OBM), a 20-year-old out-of- home media company with live projects in 28 top markets nationwide. OBM’s focus has always been on unique, non-traditional signage in the urban core of cities, with a commitment to creating public-private partnerships that provide value to cities, property owners, and advertisers alike.

Through its work with cities across the country, OBM noticed a recurring need for improved wayfinding, discovery, and access, particularly in dense urban cores and high-tourist destinations similar to Culver City. Many of these cities had existing static wayfinding elements but found it difficult to update and repair them due to limited funding and permitting complexity. In 2015, IKE was created in response to this context.

IKE launched in Denver with the goal of building a wayfinding and city communication system for the digital age and delivering it in a self-sustaining business model. As a subsidiary of OBM, IKE Smart City is focused entirely on creating value for municipal clients and the cities they serve through innovative smart city technology.

With a self-sustaining business model, superior design, and unmatched deployment expertise, it’s no wonder that over 20 cities across the country have selected IKE Smart City as their preferred interactive digital kiosk provider.

20 CASE STUDY: CITY OF BERKELEY

OVERVIEW
IKE Smart City entered into a franchise agreement with the City of Berkeley, CA for the deployment of IKE kiosks throughout the city. Since program inception, we have worked closely with Berkeley’s destination marketing organization, Visit Berkeley, its various business improvement districts and business associations, disability advocacy organizations, as well as other stakeholder groups to refine the kiosk offerings to meet the needs of Berkeley residents and visitors.

COLLABORATIVE INNOVATION
This collaborative process led to our partnership with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) to develop a best-in-class nonvisual access solution for IKE kiosks.

The NFB also provided us with the opportunity to present our developed solution to key stakeholders and constituents at its annual seminar in 2021. Rolled out for the first time with the Berkeley launch in December of 2021, this improved accessibility feature is now live across IKE markets nationwide.

DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
IKE’s digital interactive kiosks complement Berkeley’s existing static wayfinding signage while delivering more robust and enhanced information to both visitors and residents. The City and Visit Berkeley recognized that commercial districts constantly change, and IKE kiosks automatically offer the most up-to-date information on local businesses, new street names, and transit availability with no ongoing costs to the City.

PROMOTING CITY EXPLORATION
The City of Berkeley and Visit Berkeley have partnered with IKE Smart City to customize their applications to promote discovery and exploration of Berkeley’s diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. Custom applications include: Berkeley South Asian Radical History Walking Tour, The Historic McGee-Spalding District Walking Tour, and Explore Berkeley’s Neighborhoods, which promotes commercial districts throughout the City.

ART AND COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
Our community partnerships in Berkeley reflect IKE Smart City’s commitment to contributing public benefit in all of our IKE cities through the production and presentation of diverse public art and community group support.

The kiosks in Berkeley regularly exhibit new projects by local and international artists in collaboration with Berkeley cultural organizations. Examples include:
⊲ An ongoing partnership with the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) to promote its exhibitions and art
⊲ A launch project in 2021 that promoted BAMPFA and its then current exhibition that featured 150 works by 77 artists and collectives including Kara Walker, Mickalene Thomas, and Farah Al Qasimi
⊲ Ongoing promotions for Kala Art Institute’s events and programming In addition to extending the reach of public art, we also support various community groups and non-profits through sponsorships and promotional efforts — examples include campaigns for:
⊲ Mental Health Awareness Month campaign Speak Your Mind by Legacy Y outh Leadership, a non-profit that works to build a socially conscious & active generation of young people
⊲ Events and programs held at David Brower Center, a community center dedicated to environmental education and action
⊲ Berkeley Food Network to build awareness of its mission to get food to people who need it

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE OF THE COMPANY
22 CASE STUDY: CITY OF OAKLAND

OVERVIEW
In December 2022, City Council approved the execution of a franchise agreement with IKE Smart City to bring up to 50 IKE digital kiosks to residents and visitors, providing dynamic wayfinding capabilities, access to social services, community engagement through interactive features, and art activations.

DIVERSE ARTISTIC VOICES
IKE Smart City works with arts and cultural institutions to develop media programs that showcase the work of established and emerging voices that reflect the diversity of Oakland. IKE Smart City’s Community Engagement team has established relationships in the Oakland community with Oakland Museum of California, Pt.2 Gallery, Joyce Gordon Gallery, and Black Arts Movement Business District.

For the launch, the Oakland IKE network featured artwork by renowned Oakland native, Sadie Barnette, as well as commissioned work by other local artists.

LOCAL BUSINESS PROMOTION
In connection with our Deployment Team, IKE Smart City and the City of Oakland worked hand in hand with businesses located near proposed kiosk sites. The IKE Development and Community Engagement teams conducted outreach among neighbors and business owners to identify ideal locations and partner with them to produce community content. In front of the Fox Theater, IKE displays showtimes as part of its passive rotation and features a custom tile & poster application with the theater’s latest updates and community messaging -- all at no cost to the Fox Theater.

EQUITABLE KIOSK DISTRIBUTION
IKE Smart City collaborated with City Council offices, business improvement districts, and other stakeholders within the city to determine the most suitable locations for kiosks within each district. We have committed to 15% of the kiosks, or 1 out of every 6, to be located in high priority neighborhoods. The actual deployment has resulted in 25% in underserved target areas designated by the City.

ATLANTA, GA

COMMUNITY-BASED MEDIA PLATFORM
Through an RFP process, the City of Atlanta’s Department of Information Management (AIM) selected IKE Smart City in 2020 to install 120 interactive kiosks throughout the City. The IKE network is now live with 70 dual-sided kiosks reaching 30 neighborhoods in Atlanta’s urban core.

PROMOTING CITY INITIATIVES & CULTURE
As part of the launch event in May 2022, we worked closely with the City of Atlanta to promote community-building initiatives, including the Mayor’s Summer Y outh Employment Program and creative works by local artists. We have continued to build relationships that add to the character of urban spaces, partnering with artists, museums, art galleries, educational institutions, and non-profits, including the High Museum, Power Haus Creative, Spelman College, and The King Center.

MAYOR ANDRE DICKENS

CITY OF ATLANTA
As one city with one bright future, the installation of these IKE kiosks across the city demonstrates our commitment to connectivity. The IKE kiosks are informative, showcase the best our city has to offer to residents and visitors alike and further assist our efforts to move Atlanta forward.

SHAUN DRINKARD

DIRECTOR OF PLACEMAKING, TAMPA DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP
After extensive research Tampa is thrilled to incorporate smart city wayfinding into our public realm. Everyone at IKE [Smart City] has shown such a great level of professionalism and ensures a seamless process from development, installation, and technical support.

The Tampa Downtown Partnership (TDP) and the City of Tampa selected IKE to improve discovery of local businesses, mobility via public transit, and equitable access to resources. We worked with TDP and the City to determine the best locations for 30 kiosks throughout Tampa’s vibrant neighborhoods. The first kiosks went live in June of 2021, and the City now has kiosks in key locations across Downtown, the Channel District, SoHo Tampa, Tampa Heights, and East Tampa.

Denver was IKE’s inaugural market, launching in 2015 with the Downtown Denver Partnership (DDP). The IKE team worked closely with DDP to create a communications platform delivered in a self-sustaining business model. Located along 16th Street, our interactive kiosks continue to support Denver’s smart city initiatives today. Committed to our partnership, we are replacing the original IKE

1.0 models with the newest 3.0 models at no cost to the City or DDP.

KOURTNY GARRETT

PRESIDENT & CEO, DOWNTOWN DENVER PARTNERSHIP
The power of the IKE platform is that it’s flexible, in that it can be used to meet the needs of any city, individual or urban center. It definitely activates our public space. It’s an incredible tool for mobility information.

What’s more, it’s really fun.

These intelligent wayfinding kiosks will allow our street-level merchants to integrate digitally into the lives of downtown Tempe visitors. But beyond wayfinding, these kiosks will provide public transit updates, job boards, and social connections throughout downtown.

MAYOR SYLVESTER TURNER

CITY OF HOUSTON
They [IKEs] are also fostering economic development. Small and large businesses alike will have equal opportunity to attract new patrons or visitors regardless of their marketing budget, which is the equity value of the kiosk.

In 2018, Downtown Tempe Authority chose IKE to replace its static wayfinding signs and facilitate environmental initiatives with comprehensive air quality data.

After launch, City Councilmember Lauren Kuby connected our team with Arizona State University scientists studying a correlation between air pollution and haboobs - damaging windstorms from the desert. Today, air quality data based on scientific research is a key feature displayed on all IKE kiosks nationwide.

After releasing an RFP for interactive digital kiosks, the City of Houston awarded the project to IKE Smart City in November of 2020. In May of 2021, Houston City Council amended their restrictive sign code and approved a contract with IKE Smart City for the deployment of kiosks in 14 City districts. We worked closely with City staff, City Council, and neighborhood associations to choose kiosk locations and build community support.

65 KIOSK LOCATION SITING PROCESS
Our Development team works with the city and other key stakeholders to ensure the best kiosk sites are selected for the city. This is a collaborative, inclusive process that is designed to include input from those with in-depth knowledge of the city’s premier and high priority areas. The following is an outline of the steps after contract execution to finalize kiosk siting in order to begin construction and deployment.

PRELIMINARY SITE SELECTION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
IKE Smart City works closely with City officials, Business Improvement Districts, and local community groups to identify the preferred locations for the kiosks through the City. In addition to working with the City and BIDs, IKE Smart City recommends meeting with local business groups, like restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and others to discuss kiosk placement. The IKE Smart City team has relationships with a number of existing local stakeholders and will help to facilitate these conversations.

PROCEDURE FOR MOVING IKE KIOSKS
IKE Smart City will bear the cost of removal and re-installation of kiosks that must be moved for filming or engineering purposes, provided that the City guarantee a location where the kiosk can be placed in order to preserve the size of the network.

PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING
Once the preliminary locations are confirmed, IKE’s construction team conducts a review of the selected locations with respect to the siting criteria described on the previous page. At this stage in the process, it is important to confirm items like access to power and pedestrian mobility to ensure that the locations are viable for kiosk installations.

FINAL SITE SELECTION PROCESS
During the final site selection process, the IKE Smart City team meets with City staff to discuss the identified kiosk locations and ensure that the network has the desired coverage. The purpose of this review is to confirm that we are including key areas within the City, and that the kiosks are distributed in a way that provides equitable access and coverage. This step of the process concludes with multiple, in-person site walks with select staff for final determination.

ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Once the City and IKE Smart City have identified final kiosk locations, IKE Smart City works with a civil engineering firm that is local to Culver City on appropriate placement of the kiosks within the right-of-way. All of the key factors outlined in the process on the previous page are reviewed, especially items like access to power, accessibility, and pedestrian mobility. From there, locations that meet all of the necessary requirements would then move forward to the design phase to be ready for construction and deployment.

95 DIRECTORY FEATURES
In contrast to static wayfinding kiosks, IKE offers several unique ways a user can interact with Directory listings. These features help to create a more enjoyable and customized user experience.

FILTERS
Filters allow a user to refine Directory listings based on specific interests and needs. For instance, filters include cuisine, ratings, price, hours, merchandise type, and
distance from kiosk. Filters can also be customized by the City to highlight a curated list of businesses.

BADGES
Badges are a great way to identify places
that are sponsored, supported, or otherwise
showcased by a particular group or organization.

For example, a branded badge might be added
to restaurants featured in Eater Los Angeles.

FEATURED LISTS
Featured Lists can be customized by the City to
showcase curated subsets of businesses and
destinations. Up to six unique Featured Lists can
be added and, when one is selected, a drop-down
drawer will display the curated listings.

INNOVATIONS IN ACCESSIBILITY

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND PARTNERSHIP
IKE Smart City’s partnership with the National Federation of the Blind is an example of how our Product and Software teams have worked to pioneer cutting-edge technologies.

As a result of this collaboration, a new wayfinding contactless solution optimizes the IKE experience for all users.

APPROACH
In 2020, IKE Smart City collaborated with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) staff at their Center of Excellence in Nonvisual Accessibility (CENA) to develop a nonvisual access solution for our informational wayfinding kiosks. We worked with the NFB’s Blind Users Innovating and Leading Design (BUILD) team to assess whether transferring the IKE experience to blind and low-vision users’ mobile devices while navigating city streets is a preferred method of use over other more common hardware solutions.

After the solution was hailed to be an effective interface and innovative option by both organizations, the IKE Product and Software teams solicited user feedback to validate the planned approach.
⊲ We conducted 21 usability sessions over six weeks with blind and low-vision users with varying degrees of vision loss and technological experience levels ⊲ Each participant evaluated the prototype independently and made note of usability frustrations, delights, and surprises ⊲ The observations and learnings from each session were documented and used to direct subsequent sessions

IKE Smart City, LLC

Dear Mr. Shermohammed:

In follow-up to our initial discussions centered around IKE Smart City’s (ISC) digital wayfinding kiosk capabilities, suite of applications, and your company’s journey to finding a best-in-class accessibility solution for blind and low-vision citizens, I’d like to thank you for the virtual demonstration of the kiosk-to-mobile-phone hand-off solution, which you initially provided to our team on May 14, 2020, and the subsequent engagement thereafter. As you know, the members of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) believe in the full capacity of blind people and have the power to transform dreams into reality through relationships with companies such as IKE Smart City.

We truly appreciate your collaboration with the staff of our Center of Excellence in Nonvisual Accessibility (CENA), and the active engagement through our Blind Users Innovating and Leading Design (BUILD) program to assess whether transferring the IKE kiosk experience to blind and low-vision users’ mobile devices is the preferred method of use over other more common hardware solutions. We’re very pleased to hear that the twenty-one usability sessions over six weeks in August and September of 2020 with our BUILD participants—all having varying degrees of vision loss and technological experience levels—yielded beneficial results that helped determine a mobile hand-off software solution. I understand the BUILD program sessions revealed that use of a personal mobile device while navigating city streets is an effective interface for those who are blind or have low vision and is an innovative option that offers improved quality of life for the blind and low-vision user by leveraging successful third party mobile solutions.

We are impressed with ISC’s willingness to listen to, incorporate, and innovate the feedback and recommendations received from our CENA staff and BUILD users toward the improvement of your kiosk experience for blind and low-vision users. We also appreciate your thoughtful approach of speaking with software accessibility experts, conducting field research on tactile keypads for kiosks, and speaking with fast-food kiosk engineers, in addition to your continued conversations

IKE is multilingual and provides the highest quality translations to accommodate those whose primary language is not English. Cities designate the languages that best reflect their community. Then kiosk users easily choose their language from the list on IKE’s home screen. ⊲ Our interface does not rely solely on free machine-translation tools like Google Translate, which has limitations when it comes to grammatical accuracy and cultural nuance
⊲ We use human interpreters to translate key interface elements to ensure that they are correct and contextual, thus avoiding cultural misinterpretations
⊲ Each kiosk can be programmed to reflect the predominant language in the area surrounding its location
The kiosks come with the following languages loaded into the system, and languages can be easily added or removed. ⊲ English
⊲ Amharic
⊲ Arabic
⊲ Armenian
⊲ Bosnian

MEDIA SALES STRATEGY
The cost of the IKE program, both initial capital and ongoing expenses, is borne entirely by IKE Smart City and is recouped by paid advertising revenues. In addition to paid advertising, IKE also displays city, community, and interactive content at no cost to the City.

The kiosks are placed in highly visible intersections with frequent pedestrian activity to ensure maximum impact for advertisers and the highest level of kiosk usage.

Our Media Sales team has decades of collective experience and focuses on best-in-class customer-centric service. Media buyers from the largest national agencies seek out our inventory based on our ability to deliver value to their clients.

Integral to our success are the strong relationships we have built with blue-chip national advertisers – strong relationships that are required in order to successfully fill premium spaces with quality and impactful campaigns. Examples of the premium brands we work with include:

ADVERTISING GUIDELINES
Our Sales team is adept at contracting only tasteful advertising copy and imagery.

We adhere to all local advertising restrictions and always work directly with our city partners to form mutually agreed-upon advertising restrictions, which will be incorporated into our final agreement.

IKE Smart City will comply with all Advertising Guidelines as outlined in the IX.

Advertising section of the City’s RFP for Interactive Digital Kiosks.

To alleviate administrative burden on the City, we recommend that the list of prohibited categories be incorporated into the agreement, rather than requiring pre-approval for every advertisement. In the event that the City objects to an advertisement displayed on the kiosks, the IKE team will promptly remove it. If it is ever unclear whether an advertisement is restricted, the IKE team will send it to the City for pre-approval prior to posting.

WYNWOOD BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
The technology, amenities and services provided by the IKE kiosks have been received with open arms by our business community and we are confident that the platform will support our commercial business districts.

We’re very excited to join this public/private partnership with IKE to improve our smart city infrastructure in Berkeley.

The IKE program provided a much-needed platform for Houston-based artists to consider the impact of their work in public space. IKE Smart City simultaneously raised the visibility of their practices while making art accessible to a wide range of communities in Houston. Not to mention, the team was professional, fun, and easy to work with.

They [IKE kiosks] will not only modernize how we find our way throughout the city of Oakland, but also empower businesses, non-profits, boost tourism, and invigorate our economy.

It’s not just about how these kiosks will serve us today. They’re also a visible sign of our commitment towards technology and innovation, not just for those who are already digitally connected but also those who are not. Each kiosk is equipped with free public access Wi-Fi and will connect people with the many social services, jobs, and skill training options available throughout our city.

This partnership is just the kind of forward-thinking way of doing business the City of West Hollywood prides itself on. It is a great example of how the public and private sectors can work together to benefit the entire community. Not only does this partnership foster the arts in our city, but it also financially supports programs critical to our seniors and at-risk community members.

Wynwood is the first of many neighborhoods in Miami to install IKE Smart City kiosks, a City-wide initiative to help pedestrians better navigate around the city and support local businesses. There are over 400 businesses within the Wynwood Arts District alone, many of them small and locally owned, so the BID is hopeful this new partnership will be beneficial for both the businesses and visitors.
