A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM CALIFORNIA
STATEWIDE EDUCATION AND FUNDING INITIATIVE
THROUGH GAMETIME.
WHEREAS, California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS), GameTime, PlayCore, Great Western Recreation, and MRC Recreation are partnering to improve the quality of life in communities through a Statewide Healthy Play Initiative; and WHEREAS, GameTime supports CPRS’s mission to provide and promote exceptional education, networking, and resources for all professionals in the California park, recreation, and conservation communities; and
WHEREAS, GameTime is offering funding to CPRS members to establish National Demonstration Sites that prioritize inclusion, nature integration, physical activity, and adult fitness; and
WHEREAS, if the application is approved by GameTime, the City of Culver City will enter into a contract with the GameTime to provide funds for the Culver West Alexander Park playground rehabilitation (the “Project”).
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Culver City DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
1. The filing of an application with GameTime for playground funds for the Project is hereby approved; and
2. The City of Culver City hereby certifies that it has or will have available, prior to the commencement of any work on the Project included in this application, the required match and sufficient funds to complete the Project; and
3. The City of Culver City hereby c ertifies that it has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Project; and

32 4. The City of Culver City hereby c ertifies that it has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Application; and
5. The City of Culver City hereby agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and guidelines; and
6. The City Council hereby appoints the City Manager, or his designee, to conduct all negotiations, and to execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests and so forth, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
