Education and Safety Programs
Based on direction at the March 3 1st,
2026 Mobility Subcommittee meeting, the
project team explored Class IV Separated
Bicycle Facilities on Elenda. However, a
Class IV facility is not proposed due to the
following reasons:
• Speed and volume data collected do
not meet minimum thresholds in FHWA
Bikeway Selection Guide/NACTO
guidance for a separated bike lane
• To retain on-street parking (min. of 44
spaces on the west side)
• Potential impact to tree canopy
