Consider a City Council summer recess and cancel any meetings Discussion
The City Council annually recesses from its regularly established meeting schedule during the summer. Routinely, this has included the cancellation of one or two City Council meetings based on councilmember’s summer schedules. A forecast of upcoming draft agenda items for City Council meetings scheduled for the next three-month period is included (Attachment A). When considering which meeting(s) to cancel, please take note of the following:
Weed abatement lien assessment must be approved no earlier than July 6 and no later than August 3 National Night Out is on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 which is a regular council meeting date. Neighborhood events will occur on the same evening.
If Council wishes to authorize any cancellations, staff will reschedule agenda items accordingly and provide meeting cancellation notification(s) to the public in advance.
