Event 1. 4/10/23 - SITE TOUR VALLCO PARKWAY 1 - Undertook a site visit for Apple, Inc.'s, proposed new office building at 19191 Vallco Parkway with Apple representatives Rod Diridon, Jr., Gary Chao, and Erik Serrano, alongside city staff members Gian Martire and Luke Connolly.
Event 2. 4/13/23 - MEETING WITH SEN. DAVE CORTESE - Met with Sen. Cortese re Cupertino needs in Sacramento.
Event 3. 4/13/23 - MEETING WITH PATRICK AHRENS OF ASM. EVAN LOW'S OFFICE - Met with District Director Patrick Ahrens of Asm. Evan Low's office to discuss Cupertino's needs in Sacramento.
Event 4. 4/16/23 - BAYMEC BRUNCH - Attended the first Bay Area Municipal Elections Committee Annual Brunch since the pandemic. The annual event recognizes leaders who have supported LGBTQ+ rights and raises funds to advocate for LGBTQ+ related causes.
Event 5. 4/18/23 - INSTITUTE FOR LOCAL GOV'T SEMINAR - Attended the "Sustainability at Every Size" webinar hosted by the Institute for Local Government. The webinar focused on scalable sustainability initiatives for smaller municipalities.
Event 6. 4/19/23 - CUPERTINO HISTORICAL SOCIETY BOARD MEETING - Attended a meeting of the CHS Board where the Board discussed its finances, personnel and volunteer recruitment, social media initiatives and management, presence at the Cherry Blossom Festival, "Tavern Tales" at Paul & Eddie's, and the annual Taste of History BBQ fundraiser.
Event 7. 4/20/23 - ASS'N OF BAY AREA GOV'TS EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING - Attended the ABAG Executive Board meeting as an observer.
Event 8. 4/22/23 - CUPERTINO EARTH & ARBOR DAY - Attended our Earth and Arbor Day celebration at Library Field. Assisted the the Vice-Mayor in presenting a commendation to city staff in commemoration of the occasion.
Event 9. 4/24/23 - LANDFILL CONTRACT BRIEFING - Attended a briefing with city staff on Cupertino's landfill contract.
Event 10. 4/24/23 - AUDIT COMMITTEE MEETING - Attended a meeting of the Audit Committee where we received an audit report on the Library Construction, in addition to regular reviews and updates.
