4/6/2023: Meet-n-Greet with Senator Josh Becker, who was eager to know City priorities and issues.
4/7/23: Apple Vallco Parkway 1 Site Tour – with City Planning staff and Apple staff. Council subsequently approved the proposed development of the office building with detached parking structure.
4/7/2023: Attended FUHSD Spring Event fundraiser which was well attended by school officials and city staff who were treated to an evening of music and fun.
4/11/2023: Meet and Greet with FBI - and was updated on issues with potential impact on local officials.
4/11/2023: Monta Vista Speech Banquet to celebrate the debate team, school staff and parent volunteers.
4/12/2023: Attended Mayor’s April meeting of City Commissioners and received updates on commission activities.
4/12/2023: Attended the Board of Directors meeting of Silicon Valley Clean Energy and approved power purchase agreements with power plants and energy storage companies.
4/15/2023: Attended Cupertino Bhubaneswar Heritage India Festival, an evening
2 of music and dance. Spoke about the special sister-city relationship with Bhubaneswar, and areas of common appeal.
4/22/2023: Attended the Annual Sports Day of the Silicon Valley Korean School which was held at the sports field of Cupertino High School and recognized the role of the South Korean community in our City.
4/22/23: Attended Cupertino’s Earth and Arbor Day festival, along with Councilmember Moore and Councilmember Fruen – we recognized the efforts of the City’s Public Works Staff in maintaining city trees and presented them with a Certificate of Appreciation.
4/22/2023: Attended the Armenian Genocide Commemoration at St Andrew Armenian Church and acknowledged the contributions and tragic history of the Armenian people.
4/23/23: Attended the India Arts and Cultural Association event held at the Cupertino Oddfellows Lodge and awarded a plaque to Dr. Mani Bharathi, a violin maestro from India.
4/23/23: Volunteer Appreciation event for volunteers of In A Talent, a Cupertino based non-profit, and a previous CREST award winner. Awarded certificates of achievement to young volunteers who were mainly middle and high school students.
4/24/23: Chaired the Audit Committee meeting, discussed the Library Construction Audit final report, reviewed the performance of OPEB and Pension Section115 Trust, received the Treasurer’s Quarterly Investment Report, and reviewed the City’s Investment Policy.
