January 13, 2023 <<Owner Name>> <<Owner Address>> <<Owner City>>, <<Owner State>> <<Owner ZIP Code>> RE: <<APN>> <<Property Address>> Dear Property Owner, Each year, the Santa Clara County Fire Department partners with your city/town to conduct Wildland Fire Safety Inspections. As a property owner in a designated Fire Hazard Severity Zone of the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI), you will receive a packet in the mail with important information about your property and guidelines for protecting your home, family, and community from the threat of wildfires. The packet includes a property self-inspection card that can be completed and returned by mail or online with the provided QR code. Our records indicate that we did not receive a completed self-inspection card for your property last year. California wildfires have become a year-round reality, and self-inspections are a key component in our efforts to effectively mitigate wildfire risk in the community. In the coming weeks, you will receive this year’s community wildfire preparedness packet, including a property self-inspection card. Please take the time to complete and return the self-inspection card when you receive it. If you have questions, please contact the Fire Prevention Division of the Santa Clara County Fire Department at (408) 341-4420 or [email protected]. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to work together to build fire-resilient communities. Sincerely, Hector R. Estrada, Deputy Chief Fire Prevention Division
