Attended Congressman Ro Khanna’s Town Hall at the Chinese American Performing Arts Center in West San Jose
and presented Volunteer Appreciation Certificates to local students.
Event 20. August 1, 2023, @7:30am‐8:30am, Morning Chat w/Mayor at Cupertino County Inn 4 Hosted the monthly Morning Chat w/Mayor at Cupertino Country Inn with 19 attendees. Also attending were Chad Mosely, Director of Public Works, and Stanley Kao, Trustee of Fremont Union High School District. Trustee Kao reported on the declining enrollment issues of FUHSD as well as the intention to transition Governing Board elections from its current At‐Large Elections to By‐Trustee Area Elections. Issues brought up by the attendees included Code Enforcement, Library Parking, BMR rent increase, Pickle Ball Court nets, and state budget.

SVCE Finance & Administration Committee Meeting, received reports on various finance/investment as well as clean energy facilities updates.

Visited National Night Out gatherings at various Cupertino locations, starting with the Starbucks by the Post Office and ending at
Baxley Court. Met and chatted with neighbors who
got together to connect and build community.

Met with neighbors to observe
the morning traffic and parking situations at Tesselations School located at the Regnart School site. Also met with the Head of Tesselations School who was outside observing too. I chatted briefly with the Head of School to exchange concerns on traffic and parking issues.

reported on activities in 2023 and celebrated successes by volunteers in providing education needs to schools in rural China.

Attended the Night Market hosted by AABC (Asian American Business Council) of the
Cupertino Chamber of Commerce at De Anza College with continuous performances, a variety of merchandise venders, and 15+ food trucks serving residents and visitors from 3pm to 10pm.

Attended the training meeting of 100+ Interact Club Presidents from high schools across the Bay areas @ Warm Springs Community Center in Fremont, and gave a speech on Leadership, Giving Back to the Community, and Civic Engagement.
