A RESOLUTION OF THE CUPERTINO CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF A DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT FOR THE PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS DESIGN AND INSTALLATION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PROJECT ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ WHEREAS, the Photovoltaic Systems Design & Installation Capital Improvement Program project involves design and construction of energy systems for multiple City facilities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to 22162(a) of the Public Contract Code design-build contracts for public works projects over $1,000,000 may be procured and awarded through a best value process and are allowable with approval of its governing body; and WHEREAS, the design-build process is most likely to deliver cost and schedule benefit for this project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to procure a design-build contract for the Photovoltaic Systems Design & Installation Capital Improvement Program project.
