WHEREAS, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Cupertino Lodge No. 70 (Cupertino Odd Fellows) was established in Cupertino, California in April 1899 and has met continuously in Cupertino since that date; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino Odd Fellows is a non-profit organization that promotes the values of Friendship, Love and Truth in addition to seeking to improve the human condition; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino Odd Fellows has maintained premises at 20589 W.
Homestead Road, Cupertino since 1958; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino Odd Fellows has made its premises available to citizens with common interest in cultural activities such as music, dance and martial arts; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino Odd Fellows has facilitated the work of services groups and other non-profit organizations by providing them with space free of charge, or at concessional rates; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino Odd Fellows donates to local and global organizations that help ease financial hardship, improve health, aide the distressed, and support children in need.
NOW, I, Mayor Liang Chao, and the Cupertino City Council, recognize

IT RESOLVED
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cupertine Lodge No. 70 For its contributions to the community, and its presence throughout the entire seventy years of the Cupertino's existence as an Incorporated City.
