Event 1. June 2, 2025 – City of Cupertino Pride Flag Raising Ceremony – Together with the entire City Council, I attended the city’s Flag Raising Ceremony in honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month and offered remarks. A recording is available here.
Event 2. June 4, 2025 – FHDA Pride Flag Raising Ceremony and Grand Opening of Foothill Community College Pride Center – I attended this fourth annual raising of the Pride Flag on the campus of Foothill College. The event also celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the campus’ Pride Center intended to create a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty. The event was well-attended and included remarks from FHDA administrators, faculty, staff, and student body leaders, as well as the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Los Altos Hills, together with representatives of Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga, among others.
