Item Date, Title, and Description:
12/1/25: I attended the Audit Committee Meeting at which the draft of the City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) was discussed. The report will be agendized for City Council approval in January 2026.
12/4/25: I attended the STAR Awards and Holiday Party hosted by the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce at the Juniper Hotel. This was a well-organized and well attended event. Accomplished high school students, and dedicated public safety employees, city staff and community organizations were recognized for their myriad contributions to the City.
12/5/25: The City held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event at the Quinlan Community Center. As always, the Parks and Recreation Department staff did a superb job organizing the event and managing the crowd of kids and their parents. Santa descended from the fire truck exuding holiday cheer, the tree lighting was executed flawlessly, and a very good time was had by all.
12/7/25: Along with Councilmember Fruen, I attended the Cities Association Holiday Party at the new and sparkling Treehouse Hotel in Sunnyvale. All 15 cities within Santa Clara County were represented by their council members.
County and State representatives attended as well, and Senator Josh Becker was recognized for his sustainability efforts and funding to cities to enhance their public safety efforts.
