1 CITY COUNCILMEMBER REPORT
Meeting: January 21, 2026

Reporting Councilmember: Councilmember Sheila Mohan

Report Dates: 12/9/25 to 1/12/26

Item Date, Title, and Description:

12/12/25 Attended the Cupertino Library foundation holiday party. This annual event is always an enjoyable community gathering and attendees are mostly those who are closely associated with our library – either as volunteers or library users.

12/13/25 Attended the Walk Bike Cupertino Holiday Potluck Party, an annual gathering of residents committed to safety of pedestrians and bicyclists.

12/15/25 City staff arranged for a prep session with project developers (Toll Brothers) and city staff to review plans for the 55-unit townhome development (Idlewild Shopping Center) on the site of United Furniture on Stevens Creek Blvd.

The 55 units will include 10 accessory dwelling units, and 11 affordable housing units.

12/18/25 Along with Mayor Moore, I attended the Women’s Business Luncheon hosted by the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce. This event was a gathering of women associated with local businesses for the purpose of connecting, sharing resources and celebrating entrepreneurship in Cupertino. Of particular interest was the keynote speaker who spoke on AI, and the cautionary approach we all must take in using AI information.
