Proclamation
WHEREAS, Public service professionals at the local, state, and federal levels dedicate their careers to serving the public good and strengthening the communities in which we live; and
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino is supported by a diverse and dedicated workforce whose daily efforts ensure the delivery of high-quality services to residents, and
WHEREAS, Public servants demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence, to maintain the health, safety, and well- being of residents and businesses; and
WHEREAS, National Public Service Recognition Week provides an opportunity to honor and celebrate the contributions of public employees and to recognize their vital role in building a responsive, resilient, and thriving community; and
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino is proud to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of its employees, whose service enhances the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit the city.
THEREFORE, I, Mayor Kitty Moore, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby proclaim the week of May 3 to May 9 as
National Public Service Recognition Week
in the City of Cupertino and encourage all residents to recognize and thank public employees for their commitment to serving the community with excellence and care.
