5/8/26 Participated in a prep budget session conducted by staff. Staff provided details of the proposed budget for FY 26-27 and outlined the progress that has taken place in the current year as well as the challenges we will face in the next fiscal year. Budget forecasts were also provided which allowed us a glimpse of our fiscal situation in the down years.
5/8/26 Mobile Health Clinic Launch: Along with Councilmember Fruen, I attended the launch of the County-funded mobile healthy center where underserved students of De Anza College, as well as residents in the West Valley cities can access basic healthcare services. The event was well attended by County officials, health service leaders and local elected officials.
This is a one-year pilot program which will operate out of a van and enable the County to study community needs and determine the future of the program.
5/8/26 Attended the Live Well Age Well Health Expo at the Senior Center.
This was a well-attended event which was sponsored by local organizations which focus on senior living, health services, and home care. The program included presentations and educational sessions tailored to support a healthy and active life style, as well as enjoyable games that visitors could participate in.
