7/4/26 Along with the entire City Council, I attended the July 4 festivities at Memorial Park. The 250th year of our Country’s independence was marked by the raising of the flag, a parade around the park, a performance of the Cupertino Symphonic Band, and fireworks at Hyde Middle School. A feel-good community event. Credit goes to City staff who went to great lengths to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for Cupertino residents.
7/6/26 Attended a prep session hosted by City staff and consultants to discuss results of a survey that elicited community interest in continuation of the Utility Users Tax and a measure requiring any park rezoning to be approved by voters before implementation. The item was on the Council agenda on July 7, 2026.
