A RESOLUTION OF THE CUPERTINO CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 17-102 AND ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO
THE POLICY FOR ACCEPTING DONATIONS
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 37354 permits the City Council of a City to accept or reject any donation, gift, bequest or devise (hereinafter " Donation") made to or for the City for any public purpose, and further empowers a City Council to hold and dispose of such property and funds for such uses as are prescribed in the terms of the Donation;
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2017 the Cupertino City Council adopted Resolution No. 17-102, stablishing the City' s Donation Policy;
WHEREAS, the City wishes to clarify the Donation Policy’s guidelines on Donor recognition and align the guidelines to other City Policies as set forth in Exhibit A;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cupertino does hereby:
1. Rescind Resolution No. 17-102;
2. Adopt and approve the Donation Policy attached as Exhibit A.
