Item Date, Title, and Description:
9/30/26 I represented the City at the Indian Consul General’s dinner for government officials, including representatives from India. Several community leaders and elected officials from other Bay Area cities attended. Perspectives on the role of the Indian community in the US were of particular interest to the visitors.
10/2/26 Attended a TEAMS meeting organized by City staff to discuss the implications of the public hearing re: TEFRA for the Vallco/The Rise project. The item was on the agenda for October 6, but was subsequently pulled at the request of the developers, Eden Housing. 10/10/26 Participated in a Get Out the Vote non-partisan meeting organized by Cal Matters and India Currents. This was intended to explain to members of the public, many of whom were first time voters, the process and purpose of the State propositions. No recommendations were provided.
