The special meeting was called to order by Mayor Daus-Magbual at 6:00 P.M. by video conference call pursuant to Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order N-35-20.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
It was moved by Councilmember Manalo, seconded by Councilmember DiGiovanni and carried to approve the agenda.
CONSENT AGENDA:
It was moved by Councilmember Manalo, seconded by Councilmember Sylvester and carried to approve the consent agenda.
Resolutions:
Authorizing the City to Implement Teleconferenced Public Meetings Pursuant to Assembly Bill 361
Resolution 22- 136, Authorizing Remo te Teleconference Meeting by the City Council and All Boards, Commissions, and Standing Committees of the City in Accordance with Assembly Bill 361 for a Period of Thirty Days
RESOLUTIONS:
Appointment of Interim City Manager
City Attorney Rose Zimmerman presented the Council’s recommendation to appoint Thomas Piccolotti as Interim City Manager until such time the City Council appoints a permane nt City Manager, for a period not to exceed six months. Ms. Zimmerman discussed the recruitment process for a permanent City Manager and provided information on Mr. Piccolotti’s many years of experience in local government.
Mr. Piccolotti has spen t 22 years working for the City of Daly City. Staff will present the Employment Agreement for the Interim City Manager at the regular meeting of September 12, 2022 for City Council approval.

2 Peter Russell, a member of the public, expressed concerns with the City’s website and reported sending an email to the City which has not received a response. Peter requested to view the reconciliation of expenditures for Measure Q.
Call-in User, John Daly, commended the presentation and congratulated Mr. Piccolotti and looked forward to working with Mr. Piccolotti to create a healthier, safer community.
It was moved by Vice Mayor Buenaventura, seconded by Councilmember DiGiovanni and carried by unanimous roll call vote to adopt the following resolution:
Resolution 22-137, Appointing Thomas Piccolotti As Interim City Manager
Interim City Manager Thomas Piccolotti was honored and thanked the Council for their confidence and trust in him. Mr. Piccolotti plans to carry out the City’s mission and the Council’s vision, while supporting the citizens and City employees.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Daus-Magbual adjourned the meeting at 6:21 PM in memory of Ernestine J. Forcum, Rae Gonzalez, May Trinidad and William “Bill” Russell.
