CITY OF DANA POINT | NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on August 12, 2025, a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Dana Point to consider the following:
Appeal of Coastal Development Permit CDP19-0017 and Certification of Environmental Impact Report:
Appeal of Planning Commission's approval of Coastal Development Permit CDP19-0017 to demolish an existing 136 room hotel and two boater services buildings and the construction of (i) a 169 room low-cost hotel with ancillary uses, (i) a 130 room market rate hotel with ancillary uses and 6,800 square feet of podium level boater facilities, and (iii) parking areas and underground parking structure with paid parking for the hotels, (iv) a shared parking and parking management plan for the hotel, their ancillary uses and boater facilities, (v) a lot line adjustment to adjust existing property lines, and (vi) building and site signage, as well as associated landscape, utility, and street improvements within the project boundaries, and Planning Commission's certification of the associated Environmental Impact Report (SCH #2020099024).

Olson Development/County of Orange Environmental: Pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), an Environmental Impact Report (SCH #2020099024) was prepared and circulated for public review for the project.

Any petition for judicial review of a decision of the Dana Point City Council is controlled by the statute of limitations provisions set forth in Sections 2.50.010 and 2.50.020 of the Dana Point Municipal Code and Sections 1094.5 and 1094.6 of the California Code of Civil Procedure. Any action or proceeding to attack, review, set aside, or void any decision of the Dana Point City Council is controlled by Section 2.50.010 and Section 2.50.020 of the Dana Point Municipal Code. In any such action or proceeding seeking judicial review of, which attacks or seeks to set aside, or void any decision of the Dana Point City Council, shall be limited to those issues raised at the hearing as provided in Chapter 2.50 of the Dana Point Municipal Code. Copies of the procedures for the conduct of City Council public hearings are available from the City Clerk.
