Honorable Del Mar Mayor and City Council,
Thank you for your ongoing efforts to protect the interests of Del Mar and to prevent tunnels with double-tracks being constructed under and adjacent to residential properties or the new threat of double-tracking the bluffs for an increasing number of trains traveling more frequently and at higher speeds through the City. A better solution to the train problem can be found. I support any decision that furthers this goal and is guided by expert advice.

Mayor and City Council members,
I want to thank you and the staff for the time you have put in on the train track relocation. I feel strongly that this is a critical issue for the city, residents and the surrounding communities. I am sending in a red dot in support of the draft letter published with the staff report and feel it is thoughtful and concise. While I cannot weigh in on the legal reasons for abstaining or not voting on item#9 at the upcoming SANDAG meeting I believe you are getting good council on how best to handle the situation for the long term benefit of the city.

Dear City Council,
I have read and support your letter from The City of Del Mar as a Responsible Agency under CEQA part.
Naturally, I wish you could give a stronger response with solutions, but understand the long term political advantages doing it this way, giving you, as the City Council, more rights in a future development of plans.
