TITLE: ORDINANCE NO. 02 (2022) REGARDING ELECTRONIC FILING OF
CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS AND STATEMENTS OF
ECONOMIC INTEREST.

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve for second reading by title only, waive full reading, and adopt Ordinance No. 02 (2022), entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DIAMOND BAR, CALIFORNIA, ADDING CHAPTER 2.06 TO TITLE 2 OF THE
DIAMOND BAR MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING ELECTRONIC FILING OF
CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS AND STATEMENTS OF ECONOMIC INTEREST."
FISCAL IMPACT:
The annual fee for the web-based, vendor hosted application system will be $4,300 and it is budgeted in the City Clerk’s Office.
BACKGROUND:
On May 17, 2022, the City Council introduced for first reading Ordinance No. 02 (2022) adding Chapter 2.06 to the Diamond Bar Municipal Code regarding electronic filing of Campaign Disclosure Statements and Statements of Economic Interest. There were no changes made to the Draft Ordinance as presented at the meeting. Ordinance No. 02 (2022) (Attachment 1) is now being presented for its second reading by title only and adoption, and will become effective 30 days from June 7, 2022.
