TITLE: SECOND AMENDMENT TO MAINTENANCE SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH PARKWOOD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE, INC. FOR
LANDSCAPE SERVICES THROUGH JUNE 30, 2024.

RECOMMENDATION:
Approve, and authorize the City Manager to sign, the Second Amendment to the Maintenance Services Agreement with Parkwood Landscape Maintenance, Inc. through June 30, 2024.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The annual not-to-exceed amount of the proposed Second Amendment for Fiscal Year 2023/24 will be $445,000, including the vendor’s request for a CPI increase of 2.8% pursuant to the Original Agreement. Sufficient funds in the amount of $445,000 are included in Fiscal Year 2023/24 Operating Budget to cover the cost of such services.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Parkwood Landscape Maintenance, managed by City staff, has maintained thirteen (13) City-owned-or-maintained parks and facilities. On June 15, 2021, the City Council approved a one-year agreement with Parkwood Landscape Maintenance, Inc. to provide landscape maintenance services (Original Agreement). Per the Original Agreement, the City Council has the option to extend the agreement for up to five years, in increments of no less than one year. Overall, Parkwood’s performance has met City’s expectations, and this is evident in the City facilities they maintain. Therefore, this Second Amendment is proposed to extend the term of the Agreement through June 30, 2024.
