RECOMMENDATION:
Ratify the Mayor's appointments, and adopt Resolution No. 2023-36 confirming appointments to the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact.
BACKGROUND:
Following the annual reorganization of the City Council, it is customary for the newly selected Mayor to appoint Council Members to serve on various local and regional organizations of which the City is a member. In addition, the Mayor also makes appointments to the various standing committees and ad-hoc committees created by the City Council. The Mayor’s appointments are included in Attachment 1.
Pursuant to the bylaws of the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG), a resolution must be adopted to formalize the Mayor’s new appointments to the SGVCOG. The proposed Resolution (Attachment 2) confirming the appointments will be sent to the SGVCOG upon adoption.
