Dear city council
Re: "public comment ‐ Heritage Park design"
AŌer reviewing the two design concepts for the proposed Heritage Park playground renovaƟon, I’ve noƟced that you have not included any work out equipment for your Diamond Bar Seniors.

Please approach this concept differently by including an area for us seniors prior tonights city Council meeƟng.

Note: We too are a part of this community and have been overlooked. Please make adjustments ASAP.

Thank you,
Cynthia De La Rosa

Good morning!
I would like to put my vote in for Concept #4. The modern look for #3 is played out at this point and it’s nice to have a change scenery and adventure and new things to do for the kids.

Thank you.

With excellence in mind,

After reviewing each photo of the proposed renovated park (Heritage Park) I can see that there is a lack of shade provided. My children have come home from the local parks with burn marks on their legs due to lack of proper shade. I like playground concept #4. Please consider placing shade over the portion of the slide that the kids slide down from.

Thank you,
T.T.

City Council Members,
I like option #4, but I would like to see some additions:

1. Seating for parents and others

2. More shade! Current design looks so hot!

3. Add in exercise  apparatus appropriate for Seniors and Adults, like those at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park. The park would be used more frequently!
Thanks!

I like this design . There is share over the slides.

Hi,
I’m a daily visitor at the Heritage Park for a few years since my kids go to the adjacent school.

I only found out about the city council meeting after the fact.

I’m glad that the playground is finally getting updated. I don’t really care about the design concept. However in the design concept voted, the top of the slides are very obstructed in the picture and I do not believe any parent would like to have their children in that thing, where we are not able to see who’s inside that structure. Make sure it has unobstructed view for the parents.

And provide more shade for the kids and seating with shade for parents.

Since that park is adjacent to a school, it would be nice if the focus is on the children.

Having exercise equipment for seniors there is only a hazard for them and the kids.

Kids are zooming there, they easily will take down a senior.

Adding exercise structures was a last minute decision, not thought through. The kids surely will make good use of them.

The restrooms need urgent attention.

Hopefully who’s deciding what is getting approved has kids and has common sense.

Sincerely,
Alessandra Kawakubo
