Agenda #: 5.20
Meeting Date: June 17, 2025
TO: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council
FROM: Daniel Fox, City Manager
TITLE: THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE MAINTENANCE SERVICES

AGREEMENT WITH MCE CORPORATION FOR LANDSCAPE
SERVICES IN LLADS 38, 39-2022 AND 41-2021.

STRATEGIC
GOAL: Safe, Sustainable & Healthy Community
RECOMMENDATION:

Approve, and authorize the City Manager, to sign Third Amendment to Maintenance Services Agreement with MCE Corporation through June 30, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The annual not-to-exceed amount of the Third Amendment for Fiscal Year 2025/26 will be $506,788.05, including the vendor’s request for a CPI increase of 3.1%. Sufficient funds are included in the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Operating Budget to cover the cost of such services.

BACKGROUND:

MCE Corporation, managed by PW Maintenance, has maintained the three Landscape Assessment Districts (LADs) within the City. On June 16, 2020, the City Council approved a three-year agreement with MCE Corporation, to provide landscape maintenance services (Original Agreement). The City Council has the option to extend the agreement for up to three one-year terms. Overall, MCE’s performance has met the City’s expectations, which is evident in the areas they maintain. Therefore, this Third Amendment is proposed to extend the term of the Agreement through June 30, 2026.

LEGAL REVIEW:

The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the amended Agreement as to form.
