DORRIS CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING AT CITY HALL
MONDAY JULY 18, 2022 AT 6:00pm

Absent: Mike Craddock
Business of the Audience: Mr. Salamone had a question regarding the Sheriffs Contract, he was informed it is in the Council Meeting 7/18/2022.
1. Approval of Agenda Mr. Baldwin made a motion to approve the Agenda. Mr. Anderson seconded.
Motion was passed unanimously.
2. Sheriff’s Report: Sgt. Pannell was present, introduced Deputy Yuredia that will be in training. Working under the existing contract.
3. Public Works Update: Joe Leonard was present, PW is trying to get the dry weeds down and trees trimmed for fire protection. Bathroom issues outside, possible change to Porta Potties. Burn pile opened all the time Monday –Friday 8:00am to 4:00 pm. Sat. 9:00 am to 11:00am.
4. Start Voluntary Water conservation requirements per water code Section13.05.030 (A) Effective July 19, 2022: Ms. Murray made a motion to table until August 1 Council meeting. Mr. Anderson seconded.
Motion was passed unanimously.
5. Water Meter Effective Date: Ms. Murray made a motion to table until August 1 Council meeting. Mr.
Anderson seconded. Motion was passed unanimously.
6.Closed Session- Conference with legal Counsel regarding possible litigation for the City one Case (Gov. Code 54956.9): started at 6:39 pm. Ended at 7:12 pm: Referred to legal Counsel.
7. Admin & Staff- Council Reports
a. LOLA: Mrs. Wallace and Ms. High attended dinner at Tulelake b. 225 N Juniper: property is official back to the City of Dorris, PW will start clean up c. Coffee with a Cop: August 4th 10:00 am at food storage building d. Splash Pad: will break ground 7/19/2022, will need to be put on timer Consent Agenda – Mr. Anderson made a Motion to combine A&B and to approve. Mr. Baldwin seconded. Motion was passed unanimously.
