Business of the Audience: None.
1. Approval of Agenda: Mr. Baldwin Made a motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Barkman Seconded. Motion Passed unanimously.
2. Siskiyou County Sheriff's Report: Sargent Charlie Nowdesha Introduced himself to the community as the new sergeant of Butte Valley. Discussion no action.
3. Fire Department Report: None.
4. Approval of purchase of New Sheriffs Vehicle: Mr. Weed made a motion to look into purchasing new vehicles for the sheriff's department. Mr. Barkman Seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
5. Approval of Purchase of Equipment and supplies for Sheriffs: Mr. Weed Made a motion to table the item until next meeting. Mr. Barkman Seconded. Motion Passed Unanimously.
6. Public Request to Post of Go fund me page on City Facebook: Mr. Weed Made a motion to approve the Public Request to Post of Go fund me page on City Facebook. Mr. Baldwin Seconded. Motion Passed Unanimously.
7. 120 W Third St would like to ask if she needs permission for outdoor seating. If so she would like to request permission now: 120 W 3rd St Was Not Present Mr. Weed made a motion to table items 7 and 7A until next meeting. Mr. Beck Seconded. Motion Passed unanimously.
A. Review and Approval of Hardship letter for an exemption to specific, ADA Requirement.
8. Approval of purchasing new City lawn mower: Mr. Baldwin Made a motion to approve of purchasing a new city lawn mower. Mr. Beck Seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
9. Resolution 25-10 to Set Garbage Rates for 25/16 Fiscal Year effective 09/01/2025: Mr. Weed Made a motion to Approve resolution 25-10 to set garbage rates for 25/26 Fiscal year Effective 09/01/2025. Mr. Beck Seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
10. New Business
A. Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map update- Ordinance 237: Mr. Weed made a motion to table the item until an explanation can be given on why the map is drawn the way it is. Mr.
Barkman Seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
11. Admin & Staff- Council Reports Financials
A: Approval to Close Office for regularly scheduled staff meetings: Mr. Barkman made a motion to approve to Close Office for regularly scheduled staff meetings with the condition if it becomes an issue the time will be changed later on. Mr. Weed Seconded.
Motion passed unanimously.
12. Closed Session- Employee appointment, evaluation, dismissal pursuant to (Gov. Code 54957), 1 person, City Administrator. Closed: 6:56pm Reopened: 7:55pm Mr. Weed presented that direction was given to staff regarding the Fire Map.
13. Future Agenda
Consent Agenda - Mr. Beck Made a motion to combine and approve items A&B. Mr. Baldwin Seconded.
