for Special Meeting of City Council
held on January 26, 2022
A. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor April Hogue called a Special meeting of the Dos Palos City Council at 4:15 p.m., in the City-County Building at 1546-1554 Golden Gate Avenue in Dos Palos, California, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
1. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro Tem Debbie Orlando.
2. An Invocation was led by Council Member Thomas Pigg.
3. Roll Call: The Mayor called the Roll Call finding all five (5) Council Members present: Mayor April Hogue; Mayor Pro Tem Debbie Orlando; Council Member Thomas Pigg; Council Member Armando Bravo; and Council Member Marcus Porter.
Others present included: City Attorney Edward M. Amaral and public members.
4. Urgency Additions or Deletions: None.
5. Public Forum: Miranda Lopez spoke during the public forum B. COMMENDATIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND
PROCLAMATIONS. None
C. CONSENT CALENDAR. None
D. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. None
E. CORRESPONDENCE, EVENTS AND REPORTS. None
F. EXECUTIVE (CLOSED) SESSION: At approximately 4:25 p.m., the City Council entered into Executive Closed Session with Legal Counsel Edward M. Amaral to discuss Personnel: City Manager Appointment and Employment per California Government Code Section 54957(b)(1) - City Manager Interviews
The City Council emerged from Executive (Closed) Session at approximately 6:30 p.m. After coming out of Closed Session, there was a motion by Council Member Debbie Orlando, seconded by Council Member Thomas Pigg, to extend the City Manager Recruitment Application Process for an additional one (1) week. Motion passed 5-0.
