On September 14, 2021, the City Council approved plans (Attachment A) and specifications for the Foster Bridge Boulevard, Rivergrove Drive and Glencliff Drive Pavement Rehabilitation and granted authority to advertise for construction bids. A copy of the project specifications are available for review in the Public Works Department. On October 26, 2021, the City Council awarded a construction contract in the amount of $309,742 to PALP, Incorporated dba Excel Paving Company. Work commenced on December 6, 2021 and was completed on January 31, 2022.
This project rehabilitated approximately 1,900 linear feet of asphalt pavement on Foster Bridge Boulevard between Bluff Road and Rivergrove Drive, Rivergrove Drive between Foster Bridge Boulevard and Glencliff Drive and Glencliff Drive between Rivergrove Drive and Bluff Road. This project also removed and replaced uplifted or damaged curb and gutter, cross -gutters, sidewalks, driveway approaches and curb access ramps in order to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
One change order in the total amount of $4,987.50 was approved for additional clearing and grubbing of overgrown trees and shrubs impeding the work area.
The Foster Bridge Boulevard, Rivergrove Drive and Glencliff Drive Pavement Rehabilitation project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and staff recommends that the City Council accept the project as complete.
