APPROVE REPLACEMENT OF DOWNEY CIVIC THEATRE EXTERIOR
BUILDING BANNERS FOR $54,588.65
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve $54,588.65 for the cost of replacing the existing exterior building banners at the Downey Civic Theatre.
DISCUSSION
The current banners were installed in 2015, with an expected 5-year life span. The banners have surpassed this time frame and have become faded from the sun and torn from the wind. The banners serve as a great visual representation of theatre programming to the large amount of traffic off nearby thoroughfares and guests to downtown Downey.
Staff conducted multiple walkthroughs and collected multiple quotes with AAA Flag & Banner being the lowest bidder.

Staff is requesting that the City Council approve $54,588.65 expenditure from the theatre account 10-4-4380-0700.
