Said water improvements are proposed to be conducted prior to completion of well rehabilitation.
The proposed water improvements include removing and replacing old water main, valves, fittings, and associated appurtenances at Well No. 30.
Due to the repair nature of the water work, the project was informally bid on June 2, 2022. On June 7, 2022, two bids were received ranging from $90,000 to $135,372. The bid results were as follows:

active" and they are registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for Labor Compliance. Staff recommends that the City Council award a contract to Williams Pipeline Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $90,000 for Well No. 30 Discharge Pipe Improvements.
Work is anticipated to begin in July 2022 and be completed in September 2022, weather permitting.
This project is categorically exempt per Section 15302 Class 2(c) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
