Subject: Public Comment - In support of Item 11, Consent Calendar, Regular Meeting August 09, 2022 Dear Madame Mayor, Honorable City Council, Interim City Manager, and Interim City Attorney:
I am writing this in support of the above referenced Consent Calendar Item. 11 to modify the practice of calling special meetings in conjunction with regular meetings. I believe this action will solve several procedural compromises that have been promulgated and deemed as necessary in the past.
I can only applaud this action without really knowing the genesis of the imperative, however, I am heartened that perhaps our "team" (including everyone in my salutation) as presently comprised, is up to the task of acting and reacting in the best possible interests of the public.
In short, thanker for this modification which can only serve to help bring clarity, order, and conformity to the inner workings of the "peoples business".
