Due to the repair nature of the water work, the project was informally bid on June 2, 2022. On June 28, 2022, the City Council awarded a construction contract for this project to Williams Pipeline Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $90,000. Work commenced on August 3, 2022 and was completed on October 10, 2022.
The water improvements included removing and replacing old water main, valves, fittings, and associated appurtenances at Well No. 30.
During construction, there were no contract change orders. The final construction contract amount was $90,000.
All work was completed in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Staff is recommending that the City Council accept the project as complete and authorize the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to file the Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office.
