The Rotary Club of Downey (Rotary Club) will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the club's founding in May 2024. As part of this milestone, the Rotary Club proposes to donate a street clock to the City of Downey for installation within Downtown Downey due to its central location within the City.

Street Clock Design
The street clock model proposed by the Rotary Club is the Courtyard Two Face. The specifications are as follows:

1. Post is 10' tall with 26" clock head

2. Clock body is thick-walled cast aluminum

3. Clock is finished in powder coated color of choice with second accent color

4. Logo and /or text on the headers or clock face is included

5. Clock faces are LED backlit with built in photocell

6. Clock controller located in the base automatically adjusts for seasonal time changes and after power outages.

Two street clock designs are being presented to City Council for review (Attachment A).

One street clock is black with gold accents, which is the vendor's most popular design, and the alternate design is blue with gold accents, which adheres to the Rotary's branding.

The Rotary Club has selected Town Clocks U.S.A as the vendor. The total value of the donation is approximately $15,000, which includes the cost of the clock, shipping and installation. If the donation is approved, the Rotary Club would submit a check to the City.
