Nitrous Oxide sold illegally @ the city of Downey Smoke Shops From John Larson

It is illegal to sell nitrous oxide for recreational use in California because of its serious negative health.consequences. But there is a loophole that I hope that you will close in this city. There are 10 Smoke Shops in this city.
The owners of these Smoke shops can claim that they don't know what their buyers are using this dangerous gas for. This is their Ioophole.This is a lie. I know this because they sell balloons & adapters to attach to the canisters that dispense this gas.This paraphernalia is not used when used legally only illegally!! The temperatures of the gas straight from the canister are @ minus 40 degrees below zero.
Balloons are how illegal users are breathing it into their lungs to avoid the damage of immediate frostbite in their mouth,throat & Iungs.The only legal use is for Dentists, making whipped cream & car performance. Can anyone believe that these smoke shop owners are only selling this to Dentists etc.????!!!! These shops are making a lot of money & they are lying about what they know ... Many cities have banned its sale in smoke shops already. With penalties of $1000.00 & losing their business licence. Cities such as Anaheim,Buena Park,Costa Mesa, FuIlerton,Garden Grove,Huntington Beach & many more.This gas is very addictive & my daughter is addicted to it & it has ruined her life. She lost her business & many other jobs & has been arrested twice for illegal use, her car was impounded because of unpaid tickets, no registration & no insurance... 1 am asking that you ban the sale of this in the city of downeys smoke shops with these penalties & enforce it.. thank you john larson, johncraiglarson@ gmail.com

I'm writing to inform you about the vital services that Fair Housing Foundation (FHF) provides to the residents of Downey -free of cost. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fair housing, we offer:
• One-on-one confidential counseling on landlord -tenant issues, including rent increases, repairs, and evictions.
• Investigation of housing discrimination complaints to ensure all residents have equal access to housing.
• Free educational workshops covering tenants' and landlords' rights and responsibilities. These workshops are held weekly and are available in multiple languages.

Good morning,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Ashley Mendoza, and I am reaching out on behalf of Whittier First Day, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing supportive services, housing assistance, and essential resources to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability throughout our community. Our mission is to support vulnerable populations by helping them access the tools and services needed to move toward stability, self-sufficiency, and improved well-being.
Within Whittier First Day, I work with our Access to Care program, which focuses on connecting individuals to critical supportive services that help remove barriers to housing and stability. Through Access to Care, we provide services such as move -in assistance, workforce development, transportation assistance, and connections to other essential community resources.
We are excited to be hosting our upcoming Resource Fair on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM — 1:00 PM at our Hondo Center of Healing site. This event is open to the community and is designed to provide valuable resources, support services, and connections for our clients and community members in need.
We would love to extend an invitation for you to stop by if your schedule allows. Your presence would mean a great deal to us and would help highlight the importance of collaboration in supporting our local community.
