TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2022 - 6:00 P.M.
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Finlay at 7:03 p.m.
ROLL CALL:
Councilmembers Present: Kang, Lewis, Schulz, Truong, Paras-Caracci, Finlay * Mayor Pro-Tem Paras-Caracci arrived at 7:05 p.m.
Councilmembers Absent: Garcia
Staff Present: Daniel Jordan, City Manager
Thai Viet Phan, Assistant City Attorney
Annette Juarez, City Clerk
2. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - ITEMS LISTED ON THIS AGENDA
None.
3. PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE PUBLIC INPUT, DISCUSS DRAFT
REDISTRICTING MAPS, AND IDENTIFY FOCUS MAPS FOR INCLUSION IN THE
ORDINANCE TO ADOPT NEW DISTRICT BOUNDARIES FOR THE DUARTE
CITY COUNCIL
eff Simonetti of National Demographics Corporation discussed the draft maps and requeste at the City Council provide direction regarding any revisions they would like to make to ma and which map they would like to move forward.
Discussion ensued regarding the district boundaries presented in draft map 107. The Council anc Mr. Simonetti made revisions to draft map 107.
Mayor Finlay opened the public hearing.
City Clerk Juarez announced that no written public comments were received.

Mayor Finlay closed the public hearing.
There was further discussion regarding census blocks, representation, and districts.
The City Council directed Staff to name the draft map as Map 108; and Mr. Simonetti was directed to provide census data and post draft Map 108 on the City's redistricting website.
