RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH GREG LARSON IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING
CITY COUNCIL FACILITATION AND OTHER MANAGEMENT RELATED SERVICES WHEREAS, each year, the City Council embarks on a priority setting process to identify their key goals and objectives for the upcoming fiscal year(s); and WHEREAS, for the past three years, Greg Larson has provided meeting facilitation and follow up services to support the City Council and City staff throughout the priority setting process; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the City Council waive the City’s bid procedures based on the special circumstance that Greg Larson is uniquely qualified to provide facilitation and other management related services as he has provided similar services to the City in the past and can provide timely services on a forward going basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY authorizes the City Manager to:
1. Enter into an agreement with Greg Larson, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for the purposes of providing City Council facilitation and other management related services consistent with the following terms:
a. Term: A two year term, with one six-month extension at the discretion of the City Manager,
b. Contract amount: A not-to-exceed amount of $25,000; and
2. Waive the bid procedures pursuant to East Palo Alto Municipal Code section 2.84.070(D).
