Background
With a current vacancy in the City Attorney position, the City Council needs to direct staff on next steps for the process of providing the City with long term legal expertise.
On February 1, 2022, the City Council approved two contracts for as needed consulting services. With this authority, should the Council wish to continue fill the City Attorney position with staff, we would select CPS HR to manage this recruitment. CPS HR has provided a general executive recruitment scope (for $25,000) as an outline.
