RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
APPOINTING PATRICK HEISINGER AS INTERIM CITY MANAGER AND
APPROVING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER EMLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Jaime Fontes, the current City Manager, will be concluding his existing contract with the City of East Palo Alto effective April 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City of East Palo Alto is in need of interim city manager services to fulfill the duties of the position of city manager while the City Council conducts an executive search to fill the permanent position; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Heisinger has 19 years of local government management experience and nearly 4 years with the City of East Palo Alto, including serving as Assistant City Manager since Fall 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Patrick Heisinger as Interim City Manager and Mr. Heisinger agrees to accept the appointment subject to the terms of the Interim City Manager Employment Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY appoints Patrick Heisinger as the Interim City Manager and approves the Interim City Manager Employment Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
