A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RELEASE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ON-CALL
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, INSPECTION, AND MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES RELATED
TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT, AND OTHER PROJECTS INCLUDING THE UNIVERSITY AVENUE/101 PEDESTRIAN OVERCROSSING PROJECT WHEREAS, the City has several upcoming projects that will require construction management, inspection, constructability reviews, and/or materials testing services; and WHEREAS, City staff is seeking to create an on-call construction management, inspection, and materials testing contract so work orders may be issued for each project as it occurs; and WHEREAS, an on-call construction management services contract will create efficiency within the public works department to ensure the ability to provide inspection coverage as well as other construction management services for capital improvements as well as private development projects and other projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY authorizes the City Manager to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for oncall construction management, inspection, and material testing services related to capital improvements, private development, and other projects, including the University Avenue/101 Pedestrian Overcrossing project.
