RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
ACCEPTING THE SENIOR CENTER ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP-FA-04, AUTHORIZING
THE RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO,
AND RELEASING THE CONTRACT RETENTION BALANCE
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2020, the City Council approved the Plans and Specifications for the Senior Center Roof Replacement Project and authorized the City Manager to solicit bids for construction of the project; and
WHEREAS, on April 19, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 20-2021, which authorized the City Manager to execute a construction contract with Andy’s Roofing Company Inc., in an amount of $82,000.00, and establish a construction contingency of $16,400.00, totaling the construction budget of $98,400.00; and
WHEREAS, construction on the project began in June 2021 and was successfully completed in July 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY accepts the Senior Center Roof Replacement Project, CIP-FA-04, authorizes the recordation of the Notice of Completion with the County of San Mateo, and releases the contract retention balance.
