RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO APPROPRIATING $15,000 IN MEASURE C FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE SENIOR
CENTER REOPENING
WHEREAS, since 2007, Measure C funds have been distributed to community-based organizations that provide critically needed services to children, youth, families, seniors, formerly incarcerated individuals, and victims of domestic violence; and WHEREAS, the Senior Center has been closed to the public for nearly two years in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the City and Senior Center intend to host a reopening event at the Senior Center in mid to late June 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Center needs minor repairs and upgrades prior to the reopening; and
WHEREAS, City staff will complete the minor repairs and upgrades and purchase any furniture needed. The Senior Center will not receive any funding, directly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO appropriates $15,000 in Measure C funding to support the Senior Center reopening in mid to late June 2022.
