RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
RATIFYING PREVIOUS PURCHASES FROM COMCAST IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,289.09, AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL PURCHASES OF $29,043.66, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $53,332.75, AND WAIVING THE FORMAL BID
PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the City requires significant internet bandwidth with limited downtime to operate efficiently; and
WHEREAS, the City participates in the California Network and Telecommunications (CALNET) Program which are competitively bid telecommunications contracts; and WHEREAS, Comcast has provided reliable service at the bandwidth the City requires.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO hereby:
1. Ratifies the previous purchase of Comcast services through June 1, 2022, in an amount of $24,289.09; and
2. Authorizes the purchase of Comcast services from July 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022 in the amount of $4,840.61 monthly, for a total purchase amount of $53,332.75; and
3. Waives the formal bid procedures under section 2.84.070(D) of the Municipal Code.
