RESOLUTION NO. XX – 2022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO
APPROVING AN INCREASE TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION STIPEND WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9 of Ordinance No. 28-83 and Resolution No. 1696, the City Council established a stipend of $35 per meeting for members of the Planning Commission effective September 20, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission meets monthly and spends long hours reviewing major projects; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission stipend has not been changed since 1999; and WHEREAS, on April 27, 2020 the Planning Commission directed staff to recommend to the City Council to increase the stipend from $35 to $50; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST PALO ALTO HEREBY approves an increase in the Planning Commission stipend from $35 to $50 per meeting.
